Plot Synopsis

"I've often lost myself, in order to find the burn that keeps everything awake."

Lorca: Giant Moon is composed of 2 documentaries, including Moons Of New York, which recalls the trip to New York made by Spanish poet, playwright and theatre director Federico García Lorca in 1929, which marked an essential period in his life and literary career. The film invites us to walk the streets of New York in search of the footprints left by the Granadian poet, his time at Columbia University and his long evenings in Harlem's jazz clubs.

While Giant Moon. A Tango For García Lorca takes you back to Lorca's second American adventure in 1933, when Argentina and Uruguay await to crown him one of the best playwrights of all time. There, he experiences the golden age of the Tango, meets with Carlos Gardel and Jorge Luis Borges, and forges an unwavering friendship with future Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda.
